A regular meeting of the Ocean Grove Homeowners Association was held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Community Room.  Richard Williams, Vice President, chaired the meeting and served as secretary for Theresa Checki, who was out of town.

The meeting was called to order at 10:08 am.  A moment of silence for the gratitude of Thanksgiving was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Richard opened the meeting with some personal thoughts on Thanksgiving.


Holiday Party- Saturday December 16 at 9am in the Community Room

  • No business to conduct, just a fine breakfast and good cheer
  • In support of Saint Paul’s Food Pantry attendees asked to please bring non-perishable food items, home supplies, or paper goods

November 26 St Paul’s Church Christmas Family Fun Night 6:30pm

November 27 Jersey Shore Arts Center Christmas Tree Lighting and Concert 6:30pm

December 9 – 10 Chamber of Commerce Victorian Holiday Festival & House Tour

December 9 – 10 Ladies Auxiliary Christmas Boutique 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

December 9 Live Nativity in The Great Auditorium 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

December 9 Christmas Tree Lighting 6:00 PM

December 16 St Paul’s Church Caroling 3pm in the church and then moves 4pm to Main Ave

December 16 Jersey Shore Arts Center movie “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians”, a science-fiction cult classic, 2pm and 7pm

Joyce advised that at the Workshop Session of the November 27 Township Meeting Committeewoman Carol Rizzo would present her business case for a Summer 2018 Pilot Program for residential permit parking in Ocean Grove.  Joyce answered several questions but made clear that the exact contents of Carol’s presentation would not be known until the Workshop Session.

Guest Speaker

President of the OG Citizens Patrol Jan Sotnikoff made a presentation about the history and mission of the Ocean Grove Citizens Patrol, closing with a request for volunteers to join the patrol.

The meeting adjourned at 11:15 am.
