The annual Homeowners Breakfast meeting of the Ocean Grove Homeowners Association was held on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 9 am at the Starving Artist Café, 54 Pitman Avenue, Ocean Grove. Barbara Burns, President of the Association chaired the meeting.
The meeting was called to order by Barbara Burns, President, at 9:15 am. The Flag salute was followed by a prayer.
- MURC Community Day will be August 29, where donated school supplies for Neptune school students will be distributed.
- Bricks honoring Kathy Arlt have been installed in the garden at the Historical Society’s Centennial Cottage
- Voter registration and mail-in ballots were being handed out at the breakfast by Nancy Clarke.
The breakfast was very well attended. The morning’s speakers were: State Senator–Vin Gopal, State Assemblywoman-Joanne Downey, State Assemblyman-Eric Houghtaling, Freeholder-Lillian Burry, and Neptune Township Mayor-Nick Williams. Special guests included Freeholders Patrick Impreveduto and John Curley, and Neptune Township Committeemen Kevin McMillan and Robert Lane.
At the conclusion of the speakers’ presentations, a lively question and answer period followed.
Candidates forums: candidates for Monmouth County Freeholder will be at the September meeting and Congressional candidates and candidates for the Neptune Township Committee will be invited to the October meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:50 am.
