A regular meeting of the Ocean Grove Homeowners Association (OGHOA) was held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10 am at the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association community room, 24 Pilgrim Pathway. Barbara Burns chaired the meeting and Theresa Checki served as Secretary.
The meeting was called to order by Barbara Burns, President of the OGHOA, at 10:05 am. Welcome remarks were followed by a prayer and flag salute. Mike Badger, President of the OGCMA, and Rob Lane, Neptune Township Committee and this month’s speaker Mike Bascom, Neptune Chief Financial Officer, were acknowledged.
- Barbara reported that the HPC will have its brochure ready for release shortly. Work on the Boardwalk is on schedule and should be finished by Memorial Day.
- Water main work should be finished by month’s end. Bid requests for the work on the bulk head at Fletcher Lake and Pennsylvania are going out.
Treasurer’s Report: Barbara Burns (in George Germann’s absence) reported that the Association is in fine financial shape. A detailed report will be presented at next month’s meeting
Shuffle Board Committee: Joan Venezia that there would be a membership meeting on June 7; Pizza will be served
Parking Committee: Joyce Klein reported that a few more angle parking spots will be put in on Central Ave. The Township Committee admits that parking is a problem; that something should be done; but no solution on the horizon.
North End Development: Mike Badger reported on the progress for getting this moving. More information will be forthcoming in the coming weeks.
Police Liaison Report: Officer Chris Monahan provided an update on issues in Ocean Grove; discussing parking issues and the need for all to be security conscious and if you ”see something, say something.”
Speaker: Mike Bascom, Chief Financial Officer for Neptune Township presented the Neptune Township 2018 Municipal Budget . It was a very thorough presentation followed by a question and answer presentation. The full presentation is on the Township website.
